Cathy McKenzie, a lifelong Fort Smith resident, graduated from Northside in '82 and attended the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. She earned her real estate license in '97, won Rookie of the Year in '98, and obtained her broker’s license in '02. Cathy served as a licensed real estate instructor from '04 to '09 and led the Fort Smith Board of Realtors as President in '06.
Outside of real estate, Cathy is an active community member, involved in church outreach and volunteering with Peachtree Hospice and Hamilton House. She's been happily married to Bobby for 25+ years, with two grown children, Matthew and Rachael. In her leisure time, Cathy enjoys reading and diverse music genres.
The US Marshals are forever linked with Western Arkansas. Their prominence in this area, under the direction of Judge Isaac Parker, was to restore order to what was an almost lawless territory. The principals at Marshals Management Group grew their rental portfolios too large to manage themselves. As they began to research possible management companies, they saw too many extra fees on the proposals that they received. Charges for Payroll, Worker’s Comp, Accounting, and other items were common additions to the proposed base fee. Added together, some companies were receiving an “effective rate” of 12% or higher. Marshals Management Group was formed to offer simple and straightforward management solutions with a declared rate and no significant add-ons.
